Short Film 1
Camera work (Shots variation)
There are various shot types such as close up shots, these are used to show the details of what is happening. Wide shots are also used frequently to show the surroundings and set the scene. Tracking shots are used at the beginng as it follows a moth into he room, this straight away shows that this is a significant part of the short film.
Mise en scene
The setting of this short film is in a bedroom. This is because its one of the most private places for someone to relax which is why this girl takes the oppotunity to change the way she looks in her own space. The costumes that are worn in this short film are normal casual clothes to create a sence of realism. The lighting in this short film is natural at the beginning, however at the end the lightingis artifical as this is a way to show that its night time.
Narrative
This short film is about a girl who gets the chance to change her apperance. She copys a model on the front cover of a magazine. After she has finished she realises that its not right and she prefers the way she used to look. This ended up in her changing back to normal.
Script
This is a minimalistic script, the script is used to set the scene to create tension because while this girl is changing the way she looks she also has to get ready for a date.
Editing
Jumpcuts have been used to change between shots and locations. The music has also been edited to fit the mood of the scenes to create humour.
